Reify. designed a L-shaped building surrounded by 7.500 m2 of pleasant gardens and a remarkable, ivy-covered green wall at the main entrance to give everyone who enters, whether patient or loved ones, a sense of quietness and hope. The building also has two other entrances reducing the weight of the building and relieving the volume of footfall to the main entrance, as well as making it more visible to the surrounding streets. The design sympathetically follows the line of the typical orange brick construction present in the surrounding buildings ensuring the hospital feels seamlessly part of the neighbourhood.
